Rain and Flooding Across the Country Hits the Tunica Casino Area
The Tunica Resort Area Casinos are chinging and changing all with business
as usual as the Mississippi River swells.
The high waters have caused some anxiety and overworked maintenance and property managers some overtime, but all are handling it well. Pumps are pumping water out from the moat areas and backwater canals.
Further down the river from the casinos residents of
the Tunica Cutoff are
fighting a tougher battle with the rising waters. Most of the residents are
built on high stilts but the mighty power of the currents and rising waters
have presented many challenges to stay dry. Many of the residents have had
to seek shelter elsewhere until the waters begin to recede.
