NABA Pro Bullriding (archived)

Professional Bullriders from across the country will compete against the toughest bulls at the NABA Pro Bullriding Four Finale featuring $10,000 in prize money. Since the first of January, bullriders have been traveling across the country competing at NABA sanctioned bull ridings in order to qualify for the Grand Casino NABA Pro Bullriding Tour Finale. The top 60 Bullriders from the NABA will be awarded to compete at this four finale.

The NABA event will draw a wide range of spectators, from thrill seekers and extreme sports enthusiasts. "This will be an extremely exciting event" says Clyde Callicott, Director of Marketing at Grand Casino Tunica. We will be building a 5,000 seat temporary arena on the north side of our casino parking lot. This fenced in event area will be the site of one of the country’s top bullriding events. For that complete "outdoor" event feeling, the event site will include your favorite food and beverage offerings from Pronto Pups, Italian Sausage and roasted Turkey Legs.

To add to the excitement, professional rodeo clown, Hollywood Harris will be on hand performing his crazy arena acts. Harris has been called one of the most innovative clowns in rodeo. Harris prides himself on keeping his acts fresh and original. His popular cast of characters includes Quick Draw McGraw, a mechanical outlaw dressed in black that matches wits with Hollywood, and Dino the Rope-a-Souras, which features him astride a six foot tall inflatable dinosaur.

The North American Bullriding Association (NABA) is the largest bullriding sanctioning body in the country. The NABA sanctioned 150 plus events in 25 states throughout the Midwest and East during the 2001 season.
