Q - I want to go shopping? I heard this was a small town.
A - There is a factory outlet strip center on Hwy 61 near the casinos. You can take the shuttle. The town of Tunica has antique stores and everything but a Wal-Mart. If you have to get your Wal-mart fix. Southaven is about 15 minutes North of Tunica on Hwy 302 off Hwy 61. Of course you can go in Memphis for Malls and more!

Q - What's the deal on some hotel reservations when it says "Availability: This property may take up to 24 HOURS to confirm rates and reservations." ?
A - Not all hotels or motels are set up into an internet booking system. This form of making a reservation is done by hand to ensure you the best rate possible. There is a delay in receiving your confirmation number, but never more than 24 hours. We are affiliated with several separate reservation companies,  in order to bring you choices and convenience.

Q - I am in a wheelchair. Is it easy to get around the casinos?
A - YES! some easier than others because of the crowds. I have found the casinos very accommodating. The Hollywood Casino has Electric Scooter Wheelchairs available for Patrons. Check with the security guard at the entrance to see if any are available. Wheelchairs available at most casinos, check with valet or security.

Q - Is there an airport in Tunica?
A - Yes, for small aircraft. Runway is 5000. For more information 662-363-3568.  Commercial flights go thru Memphis International Airport.New expanded runway and terminal.  Rental Cars  are available at airport. There is a shuttle from Airport to
Tunica. Check with your hotel when you make reservations if they offer a service. Or Check with Blues City Tours for Airport Shuttle service. Blues City Tours service Memphis and Tunica Resort Area.

Q - Can my minor children come with me on the Casino floor?
A - The State of Mississippi Commission does not allow children or minors on a casino floor. They may pass thru escorted by Parents or Security to go to a dining establishments. They must be escorted at all times. If your child needs to contact you while you are on the casino floor, child needs to ask security for assistance.

Grand Arcade - Grand Arcade is for age 13 and up, under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Arcade has 70 state of the art Video machines, vending machines, redemption games, Pinball, and more. 8 tokens = $1.00.
Which we highly recommend because the facility is well staffed with trained personnel. Check with your Casino some have pools, fitness rooms, arcades, and in-room nintendo, which keeps the older kids happy.

Q - Are All Casino Hotels connected to the casino?
A - Not all hotels are connected to the casinos. This is important to some.....not to others.
The casinos without connecting hotels are the Grand and Bally's. Both run shuttles between casinos and hotels. Shuttles run every few minutes. Never a waiting problem. For a view of casinos and hotels check out our Casino page

Q - Are the Casinos on a Strip like Las Vegas?
A - Tunica currently has 9 Casinos. The casinos are not all along a strip such as Vegas. They are clustered.
In the casino center - Gold Strike, Horseshoe, and Sheraton are all within walking distance.
Hollywood and Harrah's are next door to each other and have a covered walkway most of the way.
Sam's Town is across the street from Hollywood and Harrah's, to some it is walking distance, but to others they prefer to drive or take the shuttle. Just a matter of preference. Here is a pic taken from Sam's East Tower (was Isle of Capri Hotel)

Fitzgerald's stands alone. Bally's stands alone, but is close to Casino Center. The Grand stands alone with over 2,000 acres in the resort complex.
If you don't have your car or a rental car, there is a shuttle available for $1. Two shuttle lines run to each casino several times an hour, but not 24 hours a day. Be sure and ask before boarding a shuttle if it is the quickest one to the casino you want to go to. Otherwise you may be on the tail end of a run and ride for longer than you wish. Check our Map
