6th Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open Set
for January 2005
One of the favorite stops on the World Poker Tour returns to Tunica in
January for the 6th Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open.
Throughout the month, players will compete in 20 events, culminated by the
$10,000 buy-in championship No-Limit Texas Hold ’em final, January 24-27.
The winner from that table will earn a guaranteed $1.5 million.
The Jack Binion World Poker Open is part of the Travel Channel’s World Poker
Tour. The championship event will be videotaped and televised later in the
spring.
Hosted by Horseshoe and Gold Strike casinos, the Jack Binion World Poker
Open begins January 5 with satellite and super satellite tournaments.
Beginning January 6, the tournament begins with a $500 buy-in pot-limit
Omaha event. Events will continue each day leading up to the final event.
Participants in the tournament can reserve a room for $45 per night. For

$10,200 will be withheld from all events
(except events #5, #7, #8 and #18). First place winner of each event
(except #5, #8 & #10) will receive an entry into The $10,200
Championship Event on
Jan. 24, 2005.
Three percent of total prize pool is withheld for tournament staff. A 3
percent Mississippi State Tax (1099 form) will be withheld from all
winnings over $599. The Horseshoe Casino-Hotel and Gold Strike
Casino-Resort reserve the right to revise, cancel, suspend or modify all
events. All regular tournaments start at 12 noon.
