Brett Favre Foundation to Hold Celebrity Golf Tournament and Benefit Concert in Tunica

 

TUNICA RESORTS, MS – April 5, 2006 – Harrah’s Entertainment, Grand Casino Resort and Horseshoe Casino & Hotel are proud to sponsor the Brett Favre Fourward Foundation’s Celebrity Golf Tournament and Benefit Concert, April 7-9, 2006.  The annual event, historically held in Biloxi, was relocated to the Mid-South in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  The star-studded weekend includes a golf tournament to be held at Cottonwoods Golf Course at Grand Casino Resort and a sold-out benefit concert, featuring Country Music superstar Tim McGraw, to be held in Bluesville at Horseshoe Casino & Hotel.  Proceeds from both events go to support the Brett Favre Fourward Foundation.

The Brett Favre Forward Foundation's mission is to provide aid to disadvantaged or disabled children in Wisconsin and Mississippi.  It was founded in 1995 and hosts three annual events to raise funds for the Foundation.  The Foundation works with agencies such as Special Olympics, Make A Wish Foundation, Boys and Girls Club and Gaits to Success, to name a few.  Brett and his wife, Deanna, love children and are thankful that they are able to make a difference in the lives of children that are less fortunate than their own two healthy girls.
